About the event
From a galaxy far, far away to downtown Quincy, the force of the community will be strong when Dogwood Weekend returns the first Saturday in May.
"May the Fourth Be With You: Celebrating the Power of the Community" was announced Friday as the theme for the festivities. The traditional Dogwood Parade will kick off at 9:20 a.m. on May 4, with other events including the Little King and Queen pageant and the Ultimate Brick Show featuring guests from the Lego Masters TV show happening Saturday and Sunday at the Oakley-Lindsay Center.
The 55th Annual Dogwood Festival will take place on the lawn of the Lorenzo Bull House immediately following the parade, and more events are expected to be announced as the weekend gets closer.
