​Many local Democrats joined more than 400 like-minded people for the No Kings Rally on October 18. The gathering was part of more than an estimated 2,500 events across all 50 states, including major demonstrations in Chicago, Washington, D.C., New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, according to national organizers who urged protesters to wear yellow “to show collective strength in the face of oppression.”
