Can you believe that we are less than 70 days away from the General Election?? Between now and September 24th when early voting begins, we’ll be focused on encouraging voter registration. Then we’ll switch gears and focus on turning out the vote for our candidates!

• Current stockpile of “Voting is Easy” cards from the Dogwood parade are available for distribution at local businesses, churches, etc. Let us know if you want some!

• We’ll continue to offer a buy one, get one free offer for the Vote Blue, Save Democracy yard signs (now get a JB Pritzker sign at no additional cost – suggested donation $5). • Our goal is to send postcards out to Adams County Democrats reminding them to make a plan and vote for our candidates as soon as possible. Currently postcard crew events scheduled for 9/4, 9/9 and 9/10 and a virtual offering (we’ll deliver a complete kit to you!). Note you don’t need to stay for the entire session, but great way to meet other concerned citizens. Links and more information here:

• Our next in-person canvassing event has been scheduled for Saturday, September 12th. We’ll provide quick training and all necessary materials. • Working to schedule additional training opportunities regarding phone banking and canvassing in mid-September (please watch our FB page for announcements).

Early Voting begins on September 24th, we’ll then switch our focus to voter turnout by:

​

• Providing information and support to those with questions about the Vote by Drop Box or any other election process.

• Providing rides to the County Clerks Office when necessary to facilitate voter registration/request for Vote by Mail ballots. We’ll be recruiting volunteers later!

• Supporting last minute “Grace Period” registrations between October 7th and election day with rides to the polls as needed. Please note that you must be prepared to vote at the time of registration if using this option.

• Recruiting cadre of Election Judges and Poll Watchers (contact Kate Daniels if interested) for the General Election on November 3rd.
