Join Us and Make a Difference!

Adams County Democrats are connecting with each other and with like-minded individuals to support Democratic values, promote civic engagement and build a stronger community. And we need you!

Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a way for you to help. Just tell us how much time you have and when you can help out. Some people like to knock on doors or greet people at community outreach at events. Other people enjoy addressing postcards at home or preparing food behind the scenes.

 

In the past year, volunteers have cooked, served, registered, decorated, given away lollipops, traveled, knocked on doors, designed, fixed IT problems, notarized, written articles, passed out fans, given speeches, taken pictures, networked, walked in a parade, organized, called, protested, typed, set up tents, mixed up bubble solution, written thank you notes, loaded, unloaded… you name it!

 

Our Volunteer Coordinator will get you connected to a job that matches your level of interest and availability.

Volunteer Opportunity Suggestions

  • Run for office (or learn more about what is involved with running for office)

  • Serve as a leader in my Precinct (or learn more about what's involved)

  • Work as an Election Judge (or learn more about what's involved)

  • Event planning and decorating - flexible

  • Community outreach / Tabling - 1 to 2 hours per event, no experience needed

  • Phone Banking - 1 to 2 hours a week, should be comfortable on the phone

  • Canvassing - 2 to 3 hours a shift, walk and talk with voters

  • Social Media / Communications - 1 to 2 hours a week, write, post or design content

  • Postcard writing - flexible, write notes to voters

  • Data Entry - 1 to 2 hours a week, basic computer skills

  • Fundraising - flexible

  • Not sure what to volunteer for yet, let us know if you would like to talk to someone​
